sylvester stalloneSylvester Stallone was christened Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone, Hell's Kitchen in Manhattan on July 6, 1946. He's the oldest son of Francesco Stallone Sr. (a hairdresser) and Jackie Stallone (astrologer, and dancer). Frank Stallone is his younger brother and actor. Childbirth complications led to the lower left portion of Sylvester's face paralyzed, giving him his now-iconic "snarling" look , and a slightly slurred , slurred, speech. Due to the volatile relationship between his parents, Stallone spent his first years in foster care. The couple eventually divorced. Stallone did his studies in drama at American College in Switzerland, before attending the University of Miami. He left school before completing his degree and moved to New York City to pursue acting as a profession.
