Coleman is a native of Blackpool Lancashire. She graduated from Arnold School Blackpool, where she scored straight A's for A-levels. Coleman got an award at the TV Choice Awards nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on the 21st of March that Coleman was going to play Matt Smith as the Doctor's Companion following the departure of Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and others left the show. Moffat claimed that he selected Coleman to play the role of companion due to her ability to work best with Smith. Additionally, Moffat noted that she spoke faster than Smith. She is however, more recognized for her TV shows than movies. Of all the roles Eva has played on TV shows Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and Detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two which are the most notable. The latter even garnered her two 'Daytime Emmy' nominations as well as gave her the chance to experiment with her talents in music. Eva is also a philanthropist, entrepreneur and the philanthropist. She has been married three times, and has a daughter along with her husband.
