Sofia Pernas was born in Morocco. She relocated to California when she was five. She spent her childhood on the coast of Orange County. Her biggest break began in 2015 when she graduated with degrees from University of California San Diego. Pernas, who had made tiny appearances in NCIS and Leverage before landing the part in the role of Marisa in The Young and the Restless as a well-known character on the soap drama. The actress, who quit The soap after 2016 was cast in the role as Catalina in the role of a regular on Jane the Virgin. The model, who can speak four languages, has appeared in The Brave as Hannah Rivera, The Green Ghost and Secret Society of Second Born Royals. For Blood & Treasure, from 2019 until 2020 she portrayed Lexi Vaziri. Us Weekly reported in May 2020 that Pernas was dating Justin Hartley from The Young and the Restless. The relationship began just after the This Is Us star split from her spouse Chrishell Stause November of 2019.
